Putien Restaurant at One Utama

Putien restaurant (莆田) serves Heng Hwa (or Xing Hua) cuisine, a regional specialty that has its roots traced to Putian, a beautiful coastal town located in the Fujian province of China. Still pretty new to Malaysia, Putien's outlet in 1Utama opened its door on 5th January 2012. The crowd started at lunch time, you have to be here earlier if you wish to be seated once you step in.

Guess what is this?

This is Putien home made chili and it really taste good. I love this.

虾苗拌头水紫菜, Seaweed with Shrimp, priced at RM8.90. This is a bit salty but generally taste good.

兴化米粉, Xing Hua Meehoon, RM23.90 for medium size. The mee hoon was fine and with a bit of the home made chili sauce, the taste get instant improvement!

妈祖面线, Mee Sua. Priced at RM23.90 for medium size. Just like the mee hoon, it was a combination of everything from egg, mushroom, celery, seaweed, prawns, dried scallops, etc. The taste was wonderful. Thumbs up for this!

卤水嫩豆腐, Braised beancurd, priced at RM7.90. This is just simple and homely taste.

莆田荔枝肉, Lychee Pork, RM24.90 for medium size. The pork was crispy, its like a sweet and sour dish.

Claypot chicken in Fermented Red Rice Wine, priced at RM18.90. Those who love this dish should be impressed with Putien's version-the smell of wine is very strong and fragrant when served.
